For him, the real measure of a good company is simple which is useful products + motivated team = long term value. Elon also touched on population decline, calling it one of humanity’s biggest risks. He believes more people = more consciousness = more ability to understand the universe.
SpaceX, Starlink & Global Connectivity
Elon described Starlink as thousands of satellites in low Earth orbit, moving at nearly 25x the speed of sound. Because they orbit close to Earth (around 550 km), latency is very low. Laser links between satellites form a mesh network, so even if cables fail on the ground, Starlink keeps working. He highlighted its role in disasters, earthquakes, floods, and areas where communication infrastructure collapses. In such cases, Starlink provides free connectivity.
Elon made something very clear that Starlink can’t fully serve dense cities, as physics won’t allow it, but it’s perfect for rural and underserved regions. He also mentioned that SpaceX, Tesla, and xAI are slowly converging.
